Tracey Greenfield’s passion for the function of muscles and correct alignment of the body arose from her many years of dancing.
She began ballet at a very young age and immediately fell in love with the precise regimentation of technique and beautiful body lines. Her very initial Pilates mat class felt like an extension of ballet class – the rest is history! Ballroom dancing is another passion of Tracey’s and an achievement she is very proud of. It is so perfectly matched with the elements practiced in Pilates, that Tracey imparts this elegance in her classes continually.
It was under the tutelage of Romana Kryzanowska that Tracey became a certified, classical Pilates instructor in 1999. Tracey’s extensive training, over 15 years of practice, affords her insight into the synchronized order of exertion with the muscles and fluidity of movement that makes up pure Pilates workouts. Conveying this dynamic to the client is the mission of any good teacher, but especially important to Tracey. Having taught clients of all different walks of life and skill levels makes Tracey an inventive instructor, helping those who are committed to the transformation of their body find modifications that support their Pilates training. In fact, one of Tracey’s expertise’s is in offering cues to the client such that their adjustments are precisely timed with muscle exertion, so new muscle memory can be absorbed and processed by the mind as well as the body.
It is with the highest aspiration that Tracey helps her clients realize for themselves that Beauty and Strength are One.
